Long time family friend and fellow angler Chad Wilson put his trust in me to get him his first fish on the fly. "It'll be easy!" I said " Those smallmouth bass will go nuts for these flies", I proclaimed.
After 8 odd hours of combined fishing, Chad asks, "since when are smallmouth the fish of 10,000 casts?!"
What I learnt from this experience? Make no promises, but when it does come together, its worth every bit of the amount it shook your confidence.
